GENESEE Biomedical retractors
Genesee retractors are designed for Valve Repair/ Replacement and On/Off-Pump CABG. They have remarkable features, out of which we would like to point out curved rack design and pivoting sternal blades which reduce the trauma caused by opening the chest.
Unique curved rack follows anatomic curves of the body!
Innovative Design:
• Unique rack design opens with a gently curved radius, optimizing exposure with minimal trauma to the chest and ribcage
• Anatomic curved shape distributes opening pressure equally on the sternum
• Pivoting blades equalize pressure points across the sternum
Versatile System:
• Unique ball clamp, H bar mounting rods and pillar clamps provide fast set up
• Interchangeable rakes provide excellent exposure and ease of use
• Changeable blades allow adjustment for individual patient anatomy
Minimally Invasive Approaches
• Curved rack with hinged arms hug patient’s body unobtrusively
• Deep or standard minimally invasive blades optional
• Optimal platform for off-pump procedures
Genesee BioMedical Curved Sternal Retractors designed and intended for:
• Adult retractor is suitable for patients 45-90 kg

Another retractor model we would like to point out is AVATR Adult Thoracic Retractor, which has dual design for multiple approaches:
• Left thoracotomy and redo CABG
• Midline sternotomy in small adults
• Interchangeable atrial and aortic accessories available
Minimally Invasive Thoracic Retractor - MINIMAX, multi-purpose retractor for minimally invasive thoracic approaches:
• Applicable for all TAVR and left-thoracotomy approaches
• Radiopaque and radiolucent blades available in three different sizes
